Married Yingyue. Finished the rebuild we spent three years afraid to start — turned off the old servers on the software company Third South bought, with zero customers lost through the payments cutover, an infrastructure swap, and a production database wipe along the way. Cut support resolution time by 88% with a custom AI harness. Best growth year in the company’s history. Started taking that method to other companies: AI opportunity assessments for owner-operators. Moved to Carlisle, PA.

2025

Rebuilt the acquired platform from scratch in seven months — one four-person team, AI as the method from day one, non-technical teammates shipping real code. 5,360 commits, 2,552 pull requests, and a support inbox that finally stopped being the only nervous system the business had.

2024

Joined Third South Capital. Spent a few months living in China.

2023

Sold software at rubini.solutions, joined the startup Mobius Materials, failed to build an agency (Sourcenow), hosted a cocktail party, and graduated from William & Mary.

2022

Joined Constellation Software’s VC Fund. Did ad-hoc work for various investors (Harry Stebbings, some search funds, and David Lazar).

2021

Failed to start a student-driven VC fund, relearned basic programming, and suggested changes to the Department of Defense.

Joined a local SMB (iShine) to improve operations and acquire a new location. Failed to start a marketing business.
